As a designer or web developer, you probably visit thousands of websites each month to learn about good designs, what’s new, and what can be done with new technologies.
The W3C Core Standards page is constantly growing, growing and thriving: due to the fact that the community is involved in web development.
Now, I am going to show you the latest new trends in web design to follow.
Flat UI is a combination of simplicity, but with an interactive design concept, which uses soft colors and brings happiness and life to your website and web application. Apple introduced the Flat UI design in the latest ISO 7 update, Microsoft has been developing the Metro UI for a relatively long time.
I believe that flat design will continue to grow even more, and succeed in being one of the best trends in web design in the next few years.
Empathic design is a concept that has been around for years now, and this concept is growing day by day as there is no other alternative for compatibility with a mobile device. Mobile and smart phones are proving their presence daily and most people are now browsing websites from their mobile devices instead of their computer, and it has become very necessary for a website to follow the trend of responsive design.
We saw the flat design, where we can think of simplicity as simple design, just without all the flashy colors. Simple web design is already emerging, and one of the main reasons for this is the huge focus on content, and nothing else but content.
Straight to the point of future web design, people won’t spend more than a minute to find something hidden.
Now interactive media is rich in content such as videos, easy to access and cheap to produce. So far, users are more inclined to see information through videos rather than texts. It is also very effective when it comes to introducing a business (or yourself) to the world. Read also: Successful Website Design Strategies

Fonts have evolved in the past couple of years, and with services like Google Fonts offering hundreds of fonts to choose from for free, there is definitely a trend for designers to use more than one font to express their message.
Brand fonts only mean one thing, the website that uses them is trying to communicate that they are independent, and they don’t rely on other opinions for their business, it’s a strong message for that.
In this direction you can present all of your site’s content on one page, with a long vertical scroll. It is another way to make the user eager to know your content and make it more interactive. Example
A fixed navbar is useful for websites, which can contain search, social icons, shopping cart option. It makes the experience easier. So a lot of websites are now using this trend, and we will see great progress in this area in the near future.
It’s hard to explain this trend in a picture so take a look at this page to see the full example. The fixed navbar has come up a lot and fast, and there are a lot of creative uses for it.
Gone are the days of showing a sidebar on every page. Now, we are able to focus more on full-width content.
Parallax is the displacement or difference in the position of an object visible along two different lines of sight, and the angle or quasi-angle of inclination is measured between these two lines.
Some may think that this falls under the heading of single page scrolling, but I think there are a lot of sites out there that prefer parallax images to get attention only once. Parallex is still evolving, and it will continue to evolve further. Read also: How do I start designing an e-commerce website?
SVG vector icons have been around for a while, but now they’ve made significant progress and more and more professional web designers are starting to take an interest in them. And SVG is easy to scale, and its size is small.
